It was in 1952 when the practice of Samu Lagan, the unique system of mass marriage, today popularly known as Rasme Saifee was started. It was first initiated by Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) in Jamnagar, Saurashtra. Since then the popularity of Rasme Saifee within the Dawoodi Bohra Community has increased manifold. The essential feature of Rasme Saifee is that mumineen of different backgrounds get married together, from top brass professionals and entrepreneurs, to students. Community members from the World wide over, participates in this phenomenal event with sense of pride, honour and happiness. This is because the Nikahs are solemnized in the gracious presence of Huzurala Syedna Mohammed Burhanuudin (T.U.S), who performs Nikah of a couple who's name is drawn from the lucky draw. Huzurala (T.U.S) then graciously narrates Duaiyah Kalemaat and Blesses all newly weds who are fortunate of Qadambosi of Huzurala (T.U.S) and also given Tashriffs.
          A Grand Procession with Grooms on horse backs, their family members, friends and children in horse drawn carriage accompanied by mumineen with community bands and other bands form a part of this spectacular event.
